The Serem brothers, Amos and Edmund Serem will be chasing history at the upcoming African Games after making the cut to Team Kenya following the conclusion of the two-day national trials.
During the African Games in Rabat, Morocco, Moraa finished fourth, just outside the podium bracket in the 400m and she is ready to turn tables in this year’s edition of the event.
“I’m ready to go and compete in Ghana and I’m ready to do anything…I’d like to tell my fans to expect something good from me and to wait for a national record,” Moraa said.

The Commonwealth Games champion oozed class during the African Games national trials, stopping the clock at 51.47 in the semifinal before taking the win in the final after clocking 51.25.

Mary Moraa has revealed that breaking Caster Semenya's 600m world record is among her many plans this season.
She expressed confidence that her body is responding well and she is ready to rumble for a continental medal in the Ghanaian capital.
“The race was good and I have done my best to compete. My body is responding well to training and I’m happy with the progress,” Moraa said.
This season, athletes have a very busy season with the inclusion of the Diamond League meetings and the Olympic Games in Paris, France and Moraa will not be an exception.
Kisii Express enjoyed a glamorous season in 2023, only beaten once in the 800m, at the Prefontaine Classic and also won her first major title at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
