The debate concerning the fastest man in the world has been making rounds on social media following NBC Sport message while wishing Noah Lyles a happy birthday.
NBC shared that Lyles is the fastest man on earth, causing an uproar between the Jamaicans and Americans. Jamaicans argued that the fastest times have been posted by their athletes, with others noting that Lyles is the fastest man in America and not the whole world.
They added that Usain Bolt is the fastest man alive, thanks to his world record of 9.58 while Kishane Thompson is the fastest man in the world this year with his world leading time of 9.77.

“Some facts: Usain is fastest ever. PERIOD, Noah is World Champion. PERIOD, Marcel is Olympic Champion. PERIOD, Kishane has the fastest time in the world. PERIOD, everything else is opinion, and opinions are not facts! One more fact because this is X: Michael is old and slow AF!” he said in a tweet on X.
Johnson added that he does not mind the rivalry that is being brought about by the information on the fastest athletes since that’s what makes track interesting.
“But everybody keep having “fun” with this. Nothing better than people name calling, shaming, claiming conspiracies, and getting absolutely heated, about track!” he added.
