During last year’s edition, the 30-year-old stunned bigwigs to win the marathon in 2:04:39.
The 40-year-old revealed that for the last two years, his body has not been allowing him to do what is needed as far as training is concerned.
“My body is not allowing me and I think Sunday will be my last marathon but definitely not my last race. I’m just being realistic.
As an athlete, I’ve always wanted to go out there and do the best. For the last two years, mu body hasn’t been allowing me to train effectively and that has been the hardest thing,” he said.
The six-time world champion revealed that he is not certain whether he will even compete in the full marathon but he is certain he will have to cross the finish line in the event he will participate in.
