Ezekiel Nathaniel reached the 400m final with a brilliant PB at the BIG 12 Indoor Championships, while Dubem Amene also clocked an impressive PB to qualify for the 400m final at the BIG 10 Indoor Championships.

Ezekiel Nathaniel is one athlete to watch out for this season, as the Baylor University sophomore keeps churning out brilliant world-class standard times.

At the BIG 12 Indoor Championships on Friday, the talented youngster clocked a massive Personal Best (PB) of 45.90s to finish second in his qualifying heat and scale through to the final.

The time is a huge improvement from his previous indoor PB of 46.57s, which he clocked in his season's debut a few weeks ago. It is also the first time he has gone sub-46s in his career indoors and outdoors, making him the fastest Nigerian quarter-miler in the event this year.

Interestingly, his main event is the 400m Hurdles, where he owns the National Record (NR) of 48.42s, which he ran last year, breaking Henry Amike's long-standing NR of 48.50s that stood since 1987.

Nathaniel will now look forward to lowering his time and finishing on the podium when he races in the final on Saturday.

Also, if he's running this fast indoors, it means he has a high possibility of smashing his 400mH PB and NR, as well as his 400m outdoors.

Amene qualifies fastest at the BIG 10 Indoor Championships

Dubem Amene was the fastest 400m qualifier at the BIG 10 Indoor Championships, clocking an impressive PB 46.52s for a final spot.
