Ofili is set to face Julien Alfred and Ezinne Abba in the 200m at NCAA Championships
Nigeria's Favour Ofili is in a stiff 200m semifinal heat that features Julien Alfred and Ezinne Abba at the NCAA Championships.
The championships will begin on June 7-10 at the University of Texas, Austin, will witness the best of college athletes competing for college titles and All-American placements.
Alfred is the best female sprinter in the college circuit this season, having had a record-breaking indoor season, won double titles at the NCAA indoor championships, and stayed unbeaten.
She is the favourite to win the NCAA outdoor titles in the 100m and 200m but first will have to overcome the challenge posed by Ofili and teammate Abba to qualify from the semifinal heat.

Alfred storms to first sub-22s of the season as Jefferson stuns Thompson-Herah
Julien Alfred smashed her 200m Personal Best to officially begin outdoor season at Tom Jones Invitational on Friday.
Alfred has the fastest 200m time in the world this year with 21.91s and qualified from the East Preliminaries with 22.45s. Abba, who recently switched from Nigeria to her country of birth - the USA, qualified for the championships with 22.64s.
However, Ofili is just recovering back to form after sustaining an injury after the NCAA Indoor Championships. Though she's not in her best shape, she can still pose a strong challenge by qualifying for the final.

The duo of Rosemary Chukwuma and Favour Ofili secured their spots in the women's 100m and 200m respectively at the NCAA Championships.
Only the top two are guaranteed automatic spots in the final, while two more positions will be available for the fastest loser's spot.
