Another crime case for Emmanuel Ineh as he has been arrested for first-degree rape in the US.
Nigerian long and triple jumper Emmanuel Ineh has been arrested and sent to jail (pending investigation) for alleged rape in the USA. The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Department made it public that he has been arrested and in jail with charges of first-degree rape.
Reports by abc3340.com states that the former college track athlete of University of Alabama is responsible for multiple sexual assaults in Tuscaloosa, according to the city's Violent Crimes Unit.
"Emmanuel Ineh is charged with Rape 1st Degree after an alleged victim came forward. Police say another victim from years earlier has since come forward, and they believe there may be others."
Because of the sensitive nature of the assaults, few details have been released.
In November 2022, Pulse Sports reported that Ineh and four other Nigerian athletes were on the verge of facing a maximum of twenty years imprisonment each, after being found guilty of internet fraud - 'Yahoo Yahoo’.
According to the US District Court of Northern Georgia (Atlanta) release on August 25, 2022, the five athletes alongside Ngoni Chadyiwa from Zimbabwe, and other co-conspirators known and unknown to the Grand Jury, to unlawfully enrich themselves by conducting and participating in multiple complex financial fraud schemes.
