With less than 30 days before the start of track and field at the Olympic Games, Noah Lyles and Sha'Carri Richardson will head to Paris as USA's undisputed fastest man and woman.

World champions Noah Lyles and Sha'Carri Richardson will be heading to the Paris Olympic Games as the undisputed fastest man and woman following the conclusion of the US Olympic trials.

Lyles extended his dominance in a major 100m final by tieing his Personal Best (PB) of 9.83s for an impressive victory, finishing ahead of Kenny Bednarek, who also clocked a new PB of 9.87s and Fred Kerley in a Season's Best (SB) of 9.88s to seal their spots in the US Olympic team to Paris.

Fred Kerley, Noah Lyles, and Kenny Bednarek booked their spots on the US 100m team to the Paris Olympic Games

Following his 100m success, the world's fastest man will add the 200m title, breaking Michael Johnson's 28-year-old Championship Record of 19.66s with a new world-leading time of 19.53s.

Consequently, Richardson had another glorious moment by winning the US 100m title in an outstanding world-leading 10.71s to seal her Olympic ticket.

She inspired her training mates Melissa Jefferson, who clocked a brilliant PB of 10.80s to finish second, and Tee Tee Twanisha Terry with her best performance of the season in 10.89s for third place, with the trio heading to the Olympics for the first time in their careers.

Richardson's domineering time is her second-fastest career performance behind her world title-winning performance of 10.65s in Budapest last year.

In addition, she has now won the US 100m title for the third time - her first in 2021 to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, but was later on suspended for the use of Marijuana in her system, which hindered her debut at the Games. Her second victory was her groundbreaking comeback last year to announce her famous mantra 'I'm not back, I'm better.'

For winning the 100m titles, Lyles and Richardson are USA's undisputed fastest man and woman heading to the Paris Olympic Games, where they'll be gunning to win their country's first Olympic gold medal since 2004 (men's 100m) and 1996 (women's 100m).

Track and field at the Paris Olympic Games begins on August 1st.
