Triple World champion Noah Lyles has expressed what disappointed him the most at the just concluded World Athletics Relays.
Reigning Olympic 200m bronze medallist Noah Lyles has complained about the lack of boundaries in the mixed zone at the just concluded World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas.
The triple World Champion explained that the event was well organised but during his warm-up, many people would come and interact with him, which left him emotionally and mentally drained.
Lyles explained that after the race, he could not match the energy of his fans, something that is unlike him. However, he promised to bounce back stronger and better after resting in preparation for the next race.

Why Justin Gatlin is not too worried about Fred Kerley & Christian Coleman's slow outdoor season starts
Kerley and Coleman were unable to run sub-10 100m races at Xiamen and Suzhou Diamond League meetings but ex-American sprinter Justin Gatlin is backing them to come good.
The American also believes other athletes go through the same but are probably not confident enough to speak up for themselves.

“I would love to thank the Bahamas for hosting a very successful meet. The atmosphere was so energetic and welcoming. I’m just sorry I could not meet that atmosphere with the same energy because I was emotionally and mentally drained.
“This track meet was difficult. Not because of the race but the lack of boundaries at the warm-up track. There were so many people who would try to interact with me during my race preparations and while practicing.
“Management, athletes, and even coaches I could not find time to dial into the competition. The saddest part about this is it left me so drained that I had no energy after my race to approach fans with a smile and give them the energy I normally give.
“I might be the first to speak on how this affects athletes but I know I’m not the only athlete that had this happen to them. I hope to see you all at the next track well rested and with tons of new energy,” Lyles said in a lengthy post on his X (Twitter).
Meanwhile, he represented his country in the men’s 4x100m relay team where they managed to win the heats and later proceeded to take top honours in the final, clocking 37.40 to cross the finish line.
