Several Nigerian athletes are scheduled to compete at the Texas Relays this weekend, with Favour Ofili and Rosemary Chukwuma topping the list of an action-packed two-day meet.
Chukwuma will hope to put her NCAA Indoor Championship disappointment behind her when she lines up in her first 100m race of the year, gunning for a fast time.
Also listed in the women's 100m is Ezinne Abba, aiming to build on her impressive indoor season, Mercy Ntai-Obong and Maria Umoibang.
In the women's 100m Hurdles, Adaobi Tabugbo will target improving her time of 13.63s last week, and joining her is Adaeze Nwokike.
Abasiano Akpan will finally make her 400m Hurdles debut for Auburn University, aiming for a fast time, and joining her in the event are Joy Abu and Nwokike.

Godson Brume and Ezekiel Nathaniel top the men's events
In the men's 100m, Brume tops the list of Nigerian athletes scheduled to compete, also having Anunagba Karlington, Emmanuel Ekong, Jerry Jakpa, and Shadrach Akpeki,
Nathaniel is listed to make his 400m Hurdles debut this season, while Bashiru Abdullahi will compete in the 110m Hurdles.
Nathaniel, who had an outstanding indoor season running the 400m by breaking his Personal Best (PB) on several occasions and getting to the NCAA Indoor Championships final, definitely has more to give in his trademark event.

Ofili leads a strong charge in the relays
NCAA Indoor Championships silver medallist in the 200m, Ofili is scheduled to compete for her school in the 4x100m relays at Texas Relays.
Also representing their various schools in this event are Abba, Chukwuma, Tabugbo, Amarachukwu Obi, Success Umukoro, Umoibang, and Ese Awusa.
In the 4x400m, Obi and Akpan will be back, as well as Umukoro and Abu, while Obi also takes part in the 4x200m.
The men's 4x100m has Brume, Anunagba, Ekong, and Jakpa returning and will be joined by Nicholas Mabilo.
Jakpa will also run the 4x200m, and Ekong the 1600m sprint medley relay.
Chinecherem and Oreva headline the field event at Texas Relays
Baylor University's Nnamdi Chinecherem kicks off his season in the men's javelin throw and will set his sights on having a good mark to build on for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Joseph Oreva continues from his school record-breaking indoor season in the long jump to take outdoors.
