Two-time world and Olympic 1500m champion Faith Kipyegon is among 11 elite female athletes who have partnered with Nike on the Athlete Think Tank to champion women and girls and expand the sport for the next generation.
Kipyegon will be working closely with A’ja Wilson, Adia Barnes, Anna Cockrell, Cai Xuetong (aka “Tong Tong”), Chloe Kim, Michaela Mabinty DePrince, Michelle Wie West, Rayssa Leal, Sam Kerr, Tatyana McFadden in order to make the initiative a success.

ATHLETICS Faith Kipyegon to renew rivalry with Laura Muir in Florence Diamond League Meeting
In a pre-race press conference at the Diamond League Meeting in Doha, Kipyegon revealed that she loves racing against Muir since the Scot brings out the best in her.
An excited Kipyegon took her joy to social media and posted on her Facebook page: “I’m proud to team up with Nike on the Think Tank to create more meaningful change through sport for the next generation of women and girls.
"Few things are more powerful than the voice of an athlete, but the voice of a collective (this collective), is unstoppable. I want to empower women and young girls to embrace their true selves.”
On her part, Tanya Hvizdak, the vice president of Global Women’s Sports Marketing expressed her excitement towards partnering with the elite women and noted that they will work as a team to ensure they succeed.
“We’re excited to introduce the next chapter of the Nike Athlete Think Tank. Our partnership with this collective of incredible changemakers represents Nike’s continued commitment to champion women and girls. Together, we are acting to create bigger change through sport,” she said.
