She broke into the world athletics scene after a stunning upset to win the Olympic 100m title at the 2008 Being Games. Ever since the 37-year-old mother of one has gone on to become a five-time world 100m champion and successfully defended her Olympic title.

In total, Fraser-Pryce has 19 gold medals, 10 silver, and 3 bronze medals across all major championships she has competed at, excluding the Diamond League where she has 5 titles.

The world-acclaimed track legend made her retirement plans known in an interview with Essence magazine, where she spoke on her life as Jamaica's favourite female athlete.
