Discover Paris Olympics August 8 events: track, basketball, diving, climbing finals; historic women's 400m hurdles duel awaits.
The new 100m champion Noah Lyles continues his quest for triple gold at the prestigious track and field event.
Lyles, fresh off his electrifying performance in the 100m, is set to compete in the men's 200m final at 19:30 local time.
Among his challengers is USA’s Kenny Bednarek, who is determined to make his mark by stopping Lyles' golden run.
Following the sprint saga, the track will witness a historic battle in the women’s 400m hurdles final.
Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and reigning world champion Femke Bol, the only two women to ever run under 51 seconds in this event, will go head-to-head in a showdown for the ages.
Meanwhile, in the men’s Speed climbing finals, another record could be shattered. USA’s Sam Watson, who recently broke his own record during qualifying, is the favorite.
He faces stiff competition from Veddriq Leonardo, who has matched Watson’s previous best.
