World champion Sha'Carri Richardson referenced her faith in God and influence as a US track star in her victory speech, after winning the 2023 USATF Female Athlete of the Year Award.
She has now revealed the inspiration behind the look was from music star rapper Cardi B.
Posting on her Instagram page, Richarson shared a series of pictures to capture the entirety of her viral appearance at the Awards.

The 23-year-old sprinter had a breakout/comeback 2023 season, which climaxed at the World Championships in Budapest.
There, Richardson won her first 100m world title in a Championship Record of 10.65s (fifth-fastest time in history), claimed the 200m bronze medal in a lifetime best of 21.92s, and anchored Team USA to women's 4x100m gold medal.
She also won the US 100m title and clocked the most sub-11s time (12) by a female sprinter this season. Off-track, the superstar has been one of this year's most famous and influential sports stars.
