Mary Moraa has revealed the rival she is most cautious of ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics showdown in the 800m
Mary Moraa has disclosed how she will be out to tackle track rival Keely Hodgkinson at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Moraa has done an assessment on her rivals and is aware that the Briton is in great shape ahead of the global bonanza. The reigning world 800m champion, however, insisted that she has also trained well and on the fateful day, God will decide who takes the coveted gold medal home.
She also insisted that during a race, anything can happen and one can never be fully prepared for the outcome. An example would be when Athing Mu’s Olympic dream ended after she was tripped and she fell during the U.S. Olympic trials.

“When in a competition, anything can happen because everyone has trained hard for this and everyone wants those three medals,” Moraa said.
“I can say that I’m strong and I know Keely is also strong and when we get to the final, whoever God wants to give a medal is the one who will win.”
Moraa and Hodgkinson have faced off against each other once this season, at the Prefontaine Classic where the Briton was the better opponent as she took top honours, Moraa being forced to finish second.
