Athletics Kenya president Jack Tuwei has been re-elected as the first Vice president of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA).
The retired General was re-elected during CAA Congress attended by the World Athletics president Sebastian Coe in Lusaka, Zambia.

Tuwei will now serve under Cameroon national Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, who has also been re-elected to the position for the next four years (2023-2027).
Senegal’s Lamine Fenty has been elected as the Director General of CAA.
Others elected include Vice presidents Okowa Tonobok of Nigeria, Dlamini Zakhele of Eswatini, Tunisia’a Khaled Amara and Bruno Konga of the Central African Republic. Derartu Tulu of Ethiopia has also been elected for the vice president’s position.
The Executive Memebers include Aminata Sanghare of Mali, Christine Iye (Chad), Abdelmohsin Magida (Egypt), Naimhwaka Erwin (Namibia) and Tagara Tendai (Zimbabwe).
