Nigeria's jump queen Ese Brume will take on world champion Malaika Mihambo and other heavyweights in the women's long jump at the Rome Diamond League on Friday, June 2nd.
It'll be her first Diamond League meet of the year, and she will gun, to begin with an impressive outing as she chases to win her first Diamond trophy this season.
The Commonwealth Games champion will compete against some of the world's best jumpers in current world No.2 Tara Davis-Woodhall, world No.4 Quanesha Burks, European indoor champion Jazmin Sawyers, former world medallist Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk, veteran long jumper Ivana Vuleta, Italian sensation Larissa Lapichino, and Sweden's Khaddi Sagnia who has what it takes to cause a major upset.

Larissa Lapichino won the long jump silver medal at the 2023 European Indoor Championships, soaring to an Italian record of 6.97m. She has now revealed who her strongest competitors are ahead of the World Championships in Budapest.
Brume last competed at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix in Gaborone, where she leaped to a then world-leading Season's Best (SB) mark of 6.77m, but now places her ninth on the world's top list behind compatriot Ruth Usoro (6.83m).
She will aim to drop a brilliant performance as she continues her preparations ahead of winning her first world title in Budapest.
