Meet Nigeria's most beautiful and brainy track and field athlete Sade Olatoye, who has two degrees in the medical field.
Nigeria's hammer throw queen, Sade Olatoye is arguably the most beautiful Nigerian track and field athlete.
Olatoye is known for her prowess in the Hammer Throw and Shot Put events, winning several continental medals for the country as she's currently the African champion in the women's hammer throw.
However, outside the ring of throwing her implements at athletics meets or while training, the beautiful thrower is also an outstanding academic distinction student.
The 26-year-old excelled throughout her collegiate career on and off the field. She graduated from the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the Ohio State University in Spring 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Likewise, she pursued her master's degree at the same university during her last collegiate year of athletics, with a degree in bioethics through the College of Medicine.
Olatoye announced the completion of her second degree with distinctions via her Instagram page, where she made three-part posts.
The first post read: "Bloom with grace, wherever life plants you.
Second degree, officially Mastered 👩🏾🎓 Proud Alumna and Double Buckeye from The Ohio State University."
In her second post, she wrote: "POV: you’re 2 degrees hotter👩🏾🎓."
Finally her third post was a summary of her college accomplishments as an athlete, her 2023 season, and how she departs the Ohio State University with a legacy and cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
"I came, I saw, 𝑰 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒕.
"Graduated Cum Laude, earned nine All-American titles, became a National champion, passed my thesis with distinction, and so much more. Departing from THE Ohio State University with a legacy and cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you @ohiostathletics for this incredible journey👑," she wrote.
Summary of Olatoye's 2023 season
The African Games champion in the women's shot put had one of her best athletics career seasons this year, throwing one of the best marks in history and joining the 70m gang.
Her highlights were winning the women's Weight Throw event at the Music City Challenge in February, with a massive Personal Best (PB) of 25.32m. Her mark is a new Nigerian Record (NR) and fifth-best in world history.
