Imeta has a personal best time of 10.12 over the 100m distance.
Kenya Army sprinter Samwel Imeta will join Africa 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala to the Botswana Golden Grand Prix on April 29.
Imeta had a great start of his outdoor season at the second Athletics Kenya meet where he ran sub 10 seconds (9.94) for the first time in his career. He placed second behind Omanyala who clocked 9.81.
However, the times he and Omanyala posted were not ratified by World Athletics after the wind gauge gave a contradicting reading that rendered the times posted in the race not fit for ratification.
Before he makes his debut in the Botswana show, Imeta will kickstart his international campaign with the ASA Grand Prix on April 12.

The first part his tour will climax at the Kip Keino Classic Competitions to be staged at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani on Saturday, May 13.
