American star sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson will gun to end her season on a high by attempting double sprint victories at the Brussels Diamond League.

Olympic silver medallist Sha'Carri Richardson will be gunning to end her 2024 season on a high with an attempt at claiming the double sprint Diamond League titles in Brussels on September 13 and 14.

For the first time in history, the Brussels Diamond League is spread over two days featuring all 32 disciplines, having over 100m Olympic medallists converge for the chance to win the highest prize money ever in Belgium.

Richardson is listed to compete in the women's 100m event on the first day against a stacked field that includes Olympic champion Julien Alfred, British record holder Dina Asher-Smith, and Africa's fastest woman in history Marie Josee Ta Lou-Smith.

Interestingly, the named ladies battled it out at the Zurich Diamond League a week ago, where Richardson was victorious and got a perceived Olympic revenge against Alfred.

With the Diamond League title on the line in Brussels, it's expected to be a mouthwatering clash as they'll aim for their first Diamond trophy to cap off the Olympic year.

Consequently, Richardson will be back on Day 2 competing in the 200m event attempting to complete the sprint double against a formidable field that includes Paris bronze medallist Brittany Brown and double finalist Daryll Neita.

If successful in winning the sprint titles, the American star sprinter will join an elite league of speedsters to have attained such a feat, taking over the baton from her stack rival Shericka Jackson who accomplished it last season.
