Sha'Carri Richardson regrouped from a stumble scare and untied shoe as she powered into the 100m semis at the US Olympic Trials.
World's fastest woman Sha'Carri Richardson gave a snippet on the form she arrived the US Olympic Trials after clocking the fastest overall time of 10.88s to qualify for the 100m semis despite a stumble at the start and racing with untied shoes.
The defending US Champion regrouped from a poor start with unbelievable speed and still had enough left in the tank to ease off before the finish line as she finished ahead of Tamara Davis in 11.01s and Tamara Clark third in 11.05s.
Richardson's time was the fastest across all heats as her training partner and 2022 champion Melissa Jefferson clocked the second-fastest time of 10.91s to win her heat, while NCAA Champion Mckenzie Long was the third-fastest of 10.94s.
Her blazing time despite a poor start is now analysed that she's in a 10.6s shape, which automatically makes her unchallenged to win the event and a top favourite for the gold medal in Paris.
