After a successful 2023 season, Sha'Carri Richardson has expressed love to her fans for supporting her.

Reigning World 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson has shared a very loving message to her fans who have supported her throughout the 2023 season.

Coming back from a doping ban, Richardson has extended gratitude to the thousands of fans who have cheered her on to a successful season.

"I just want to say thank you so much for supporting me and following me. I appreciate you guys for just seeing me and more so for seeing me as an individual and just not an athlete.

I’m super excited as long as you guys held me down and I got you all and I’ll do my best. I promise to remain true to how you all see me, as Sha’Carri Richardson,” she said during an interview with Real Talk with Tee.

The American has had a great 2023 season, being beaten only twice in the 100m. She tasted her first loss of the 100m season at the Gyulai István Memorial, a Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix where she finished second.

The 23-year-old then went ahead to finish fourth at the Prefontaine Classic, the Diamond League Meeting final.

Her major achievements this season were winning the 100m at the World Championships in a commanding world leading time of 10.67. She also finished third in the 200m on the global stage and propelled her 4x100m relay team to victory.
