Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will not compete for a fifth consecutive title at the Olympics as she has withdrawn from the 100m semifinals
Jamaica's track legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has withdrawn from Paris 2024 Olympics 100m semifinals and will not be competing for a fifth consecutive medal at the games.
Fraser-Pryce's withdrawal was announced just a few minutes before her semifinal race against Sha'Carri Richardson and Julien Alfred, with reasons for her not running unknown.
However, earlier before her the women's 100m semifinals kicked off, the five-time world champion and Richardson were delayed entry into the warmup track due to a new rule by the authorities of not coming with their country's team bus.
This can be a consideration or possibility of her not competing as she may have not had enough time to warmup properly or not being in the right frame of mind.
