What Shericka said
Shericka Jackson visited her alma mater, Vere Technical High School in Hayes, Jamaica, on the Wata School Tour with WATA over the weekend.
Following the visit, she shared letters she received from two girls at the school that she claimed made her emotional. The 29-year-old said she could not go through the letters while on the premises, but on going through them after, she was hit by a train of emotions given how heartfelt the letters were.
“On my arrival at Vere Technical High School, I met these two nice student,” she said on her Instagram.

“They were so excited, and that’s made me so happy and excited too. When I was at the WATA booth on their lunch break, they both gave me two letters, and I took them and smile, I was super busy at the time to read them.
“I read them when I got home and got so emotional because I could feel every word they wrote. This made my whole trip to Vere Technical High School.”

The Olympic gold medalist ensured to share the write-up on social media, displaying the adorable pen work and message for all to see.

One of the letters read: “Hi to the most beautiful girl/woman in the world. I’m so sorry if I make you feel cringe. This letter is from the short girl with the light blue bag. I am your number one fan.”
The other said: “Shericka I love you so much I can’t believe that you were a student here. I love you so much please can I have a hug please? I always watch your videos, please.
