Two-time World 200m champion Shericka Jackson has penned a heartfelt message after bagging yet another award, the prestigious RJRGLEANER Sports Foundation’s National Sportswoman of the Year.
Jackson enjoyed an amazing 2023 season and summed it up as the fastest woman in the world with American track rival Sha’Carri Richardson.

After receiving the award, the Jamaican shared a lengthy post on her Instagram page, sharing her journey to the top and encouraging her fans to keep going. She also extended a hand of gratitude to her support system which saw her win the award.

Shericka Jackson's fashion sense is undoubtedly one to embrace and she did not disappoint on Friday night as she stunned in a red dress while receiving the 2023 RJRGLEANER Sportswoman award.
“2023 RJR Gleaner Sportswoman of the Year. A big thank you to RJR Gleaner Sports Foundation for considering me worthy of this prestigious and iconic award. In the midst of your struggles stay humble, stay committed, build your physical, emotional, and mental strength because your mind is the most powerful tool ever.
"I would like to acknowledge my parents, family, and friends for their unwavering support, my coach (you are the greatest), my agent, the management staff, and teammates at MVP Track and Field Club.
"Finally, I wish that my High School coach, the late Mr. Constantine Wilberforce Haughton, could be here to share in this special moment. His memory is a blessing. Thank you all. One Team Jacko,” she said.
Meanwhile, the World 100m silver medallist enjoyed an amazing 2023 season that saw her successfully defend her 200m title at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Jackson then bagged a silver medal in both the 100m and 4x100m relay team before bagging the 100m and 200m titles at the Diamond League Meeting final held at the Hayward Field in Oregon, USA.
