After another dominant year, American McLaughlin-Levrone was named the 2024 World Athletics Female Track Athlete of the Year. The women's 400mH World Record (WR) holder pipped Saint Lucia's Olympic heroine, Julien Alfred, making it the second time in three years she would win the prestigious honour.
Highlights of her 2024 season's performances include: Smashed her world 400mH record twice (50.65s and 50.37s), Olympic gold medals in the 400mH and women's 4x400m, clocked the fourth-fastest 400m time of 48.75s in the world this year.
In addition, she competed in the 200m in the outdoor season and was undefeated in all competitions with new lifetime bests and record-breaking performances.
