Noah Lyles has reacted following his compatriot's 100m world-leading time at the PURE Athletics Sprint Elite Meet.
Triple world champion Noah Lyles has reacted to the world leading time American Kendall Williams set in the 100m at the PURE Athletics Sprint Elite Meet on Saturday, May 11.
Williams, a two-time World Under-20 champion clocked a stunning 9.93 to win the race ahead of Cejhae Greene who clocked 10.00 seconds for a second-place finish with Eloy Benitez finishing third after clocking a National Record time of 10.04 seconds.
The time Williams set was also a Personal Best time, he improved from six years ago when he ran a time of 9.99. Reacting to his world lead, Lyles was elated and commented under a post saying: “That’s my friend.”

Noah Lyles’ younger brother Josephus waxes lyrical after first sub-10 run in 100m
Josephus Lyles, the younger brother to world 200m champion Noah Lyles, posted his first sub-10m in 100m and he could not hide his joy.
He is currently placed third in the fastest men this season; thanks to the time he ran during the USTAF Bermuda Grand Prix. He crossed the finish line first in 9.96 to achieve the top three ranking.
Firing warning shots to Kenny Bednarek who set the 200m world leading time in Doha, Lyles said: “Shout out to @kenny_bednarek for that 19.6 world lead that was impressive! I will let you keep it till June 9th.”
