With the Paris Olympic Games set to be another major hunting ground, it's only a matter of time to anticipate how fast Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will run chasing another World Record to rewrite history again.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is distinctively one of the few generational athletes track and field has been blessed with in the modern era, having set a plethora of World Records (WR) in her name from her teenage years to date.
Her recent milestone was running a blistering new WR of 50.65s to win the women's 400mH final at the US Olympic trials, thus erasing her previous record of 50.68s set while claiming the world title at the 2022 World Championships in Oregon.
For context, McLaughlin-Levrone's new WR surpassed the Olympic qualifying standard of 50.95s for the women's 400m flat, which shows the magnitude of her feat and her unreal talent to mostly break the WR whenever she steps on the track, especially in a major final.
The 24-year-old is the first track athlete to break four World Records in the same event, setting four world records during 13 months, and was the first woman to break the 52-seconds (June 2021) and 51-seconds (July 2022) barriers in the 400mH.
With this in mind, here's a look at the five times McLaughlin-Levrone smashed the women's 400mH WR in a championship final.
2021 US Olympic trials
Before her first WR, Russia's Yuliya Pechonkina held the long-standing record of 52.34s, before it was erased by Dalilah Muhammad in 52.20s then lowered it to 52.16s.

Tokyo 2021 Olympics
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, she defeated Muhammad with a new record time of 51.46s to claim the Olympic gold.
The time also stands as the Olympic Record and was her first time winning a major senior international championship.
2022 USATF Championships
To win her second consecutive US title in June 2022, she clocked 51.41s during the USATF Championships in Eugene, Oregon - her third time resetting the WR in 13 months.
2022 World Championships in Oregon
A month later at the World Championships on the same track in Oregon, McLaughlin-Levrone blazed to a jaw-dropping 50.68s to clinch her first world title and become the first woman in history to break the 51s barrier.
Her new time obliterated the previous mark and is regarded as one of the greatest WR time drops in history.
2024 US Olympic trials
As stated earlier, the talented speedster broke to new grounds with a new WR of 50.65s. With the Paris Olympic Games set to be another major hunting ground, it's only a matter of time to anticipate how fast she'll run chasing to rewrite history again.
