The Boston Half Marathon is penciled for Sunday, November 12, with a hefty prize money set aside for the top 10 finishers in the race.
Defending champions in the men's and women's categories respectively Geoffrey Koech and Viola Chepngeno will lead strong fields for the 2023 edition of the race.

They will be up against strong athletes from all over the world but the duo is confident of posting good results.
During last year’s edition of the event, Koech clocked 1:02:02 to dominantly win the men’s race. The women’s race saw Chepngeno clock a time of 1:10:40 to reign supreme in the race.

The athletes who finish fourth will have the honour of walking away with Ksh379,380 while those who finish fifth will bag Ksh273,153.

Viola Chepengeno has shared her love for hilly courses as she gears up for her return to the Boston Half Marathon to defend her title.
The sixth-place and seventh-place finishers will bag Ksh182,102 and Ksh121,401 respectively while the athletes who finish eighth will pocket Ksh91,051. The runners who finish ninth and 10th will walk away with Ksh75,876 and Ksh60,700 respectively.
