Richardson was present for the two-day championship and was even honoured with the privilege of presenting the winners of the sprint race with their awards on the first day.

The presentation described as 'from one sprint winner to another', saw the fastest woman in the world present the fastest F1 driver and race winner Max Verstappen his trophy, as well as second-placed finisher Lewis Hamilton and third-placed Charles Leclerc.

Sha'Carri Richardson was honoured at the F1 Academy sprint race in Austin, by presenting race winners Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc their awards.

Born in Dallas, the 23-year-old became a world phenom this year after winning the US and world 100m titles in Budapest to become the fastest woman in the world. She also ended the season as the joint world leader with 10.65s and clocked most of the fastest 100m times in the event this year.
