Olympians Rai Benjamin, Tee Tee Terry, Quincy Hall, and Anna Cockrell were honoured by USC for their iconic performances at the Paris Olympic Games.
Track stars Rai Benjamin and Twanisha Tee Tee Terry, as well as Quincy Hall, and Anna Cockrell were given deserved recognition by their school, University of South Carolina (USC) in appreciation of their Olympic exploits in Paris.
The speedsters had exceptional outings in the French city, winning at least a medal in their respective events, making them one of the standout performers at the Games.
Benjamin blazed to the Olympic 400mH title in a blistering time of 46.46s, an upgrade from his silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. He also anchored Team USA's 4x400m relay squad to the gold medal in a new record of 2:54.43, thus leaving Paris as a two-time champion.
Despite failing to qualify for the women's 100m final, Tee Tee Terry made up for it with an astonishing second leg run in the 4x100m final, good enough for Sha'Carri Richardson to build on and anchor the team to the gold medal.
For Hall, he ran an iconic race in the men's 400m final, coming from behind to win gold in a new personal best time of 43.40s, which propelled him as the fourth-fastest quarter-miler in history.
Finally, Cockrell won a silver medal in the women’s 400mH behind world record-breaking Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone with a personal best time of 51.87s.
All four were outstanding athletes for the USC Trojans, and each won NCAA titles for the school during their college years.
