Recap of Nigerian athletes best performers on the first day of NJCAA Championships.
Day 1 of the NJCAA Championships ended up being successful for Nigerian athletes as Miracle Thompson and Vincent Ugwoke topped the list of performers.
Thompson sped to a massive Personal Best (PB) of 13.33s to lead the women's 100m Hurdles qualifying heat into the final, while Ese Awusa also won her heat in 13.54s as the second fastest time.
In the women's 100m, Success Umukoro continued her fine season form with impressive times of 11.32s in the 100m and 23.29s in the 200m. Ayomide Oyetunji clocked 10.22s in the men's 100m event, both making the final.
