With activities scheduled from June 16 - 18 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, which will be used for the selection of athletes for the Paris Olympic Games and African Championships in Cameroon, top Nigerian stars are already in the ancient city ready to lock horns with their peers.

After years of hard work trying to qualify for a major championship in the men's 400m, Chidi Okezie finally did it by punching his ticket to the Paris Olympic Games.
That said, here are the top Nigerian athletes already in the country and the newbies who'll be competing for the first time on home soil as they gun to don the country's colours one day.
