Never in doubt to complete her historic feat, Tobi Amusan is the National Champion for the fourth time after winning the Nigeria Olympic trials in Benin.

The women's 100mH WR holder showed her class ahead of the rest of the field, storming to the finish line in 12.78s (0.0), with Adaobi Tabugbo settling for the second position in 13.33s.

Following her successful victory, Amusan is now the first Nigerian athlete in history to win four consecutive national titles - a feat she is still bound to extend for several coming years.

Also, she has secured her spot to compete in Paris, and will be racing in her third consecutive Olympic Games after making her debut at Rio 2016.

Meanwhile, another silver lining Nigerian athletics faithful can be proud of is Tabugbo's growth, who is maturing well to step into Amusan's shoes as the next hurdling star from the country.

Adaobi Tabugbo

She has a Personal Best (PB) of 13.02s, clocked this season, and with her meteoric rise so far having the potential to improve, she's surely on the right path to become a world-beater in the next few years.
