2016 World 60m champion Trayvon Bromell kicked off his 2025 season on an impressive note with easy win in Texas.

The comeback season of highly respected American speedster Trayvon Bromell started smoothly after an impressive 60m win at the Texas Tech Corky Classic in Lubbock.

After a heartbreaking end to the 2024 season that saw him miss the U.S. Olympic Trials due to injury, Bromell bounced back for just his second race in six months with an indoor debut of 6.62s to officially kick start his 2025 comeback season.

As one of the fastest men in history with a massive 100m personal best of 9.76s (joint sixth-fastest all time) and 60m best of 6.42s (joint sixth-fastest all time), the 29-year-old is surely a threat whenever he steps on the track.

Trayvon Bromell is the sixth-fastest man in history

He already made a statement in December last year that he's coming to take back his 60m title at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing.

"I haven't taken indoors seriously since 2016. 2025 my goal is to make this team and bring back another title! Looking forward to the grind and the challenge. With God all is possible and no man can close the door that God has opened," wrote the 2022 Diamond League 100m champion as the caption of his Instagram post.

Bromell has a brilliant career resume highlighted by winning 100m bronze medals respectively at the 2015 and 2022 World Championships. He became the 2016 world indoor champion and represented the United States at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Barring unforeseen circumstances or injuries, the track icon will be gunning to upset the order in the men's sprint this year, by aiming for medals at the world indoor and outdoor championships and reclaiming his status in the elite league of the world's fastest men.
