A student of the University of Ilorin, Musa Nurain, has revealed that his target at the World University Games is to break records.
Nurain is part of the 75 student-athletes who were selected from 22 universities and will compete in seven different sports disciplines.
The students were picked at the trials held in Benin City, Edo State.
Pulse Sports reported that Nigeria will participate alongside other nations in the competition that will take place from July 27 to August 8 in Chengdu, China.

The 75 student-athletes were selected from 22 universities and compete in seven different sports disciplines.
These brilliant athletes were discovered, trained, and developed in Nigerian universities, which helped them realize their full potential.
Nigeria is expected to compete for honors in seven games, including track and field, swimming, badminton, judo, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Tennis.
"My target is to break records"
The 18-year-old track athlete from Kwara State told Pulse Sports Nigeria that he is going to China to set records.
He added that the World University Games will be a great opportunity for him to become the fastest student in the world.
He said, "Nothing but the best, it’s a great opportunity to head out there to become the fastest student in the world. I’ll be competing with the fastest students across the globe so I have to be there with my A-game."

How Nurain got into Athletics
Nurain started his Athletics journey while he was in Secondary School adding that it all started for fun.
"I used to run for fun in high school back then until I was called for U-17 youth games and things started getting serious," he said

Nurain and five others from Unilorin are selected to join other 70 students to represent Nigeria in China.
A talented discus thrower, Ruqqayah Mustapha, Usman Qudus and Sofiat Obanishola (badminton players), and Aderibigbe Fareedah (taekwondo) will fly the Unilorin flag in China.
