Jamaican legend Usain Bolt has revealed one of the best qualities he loves about Noah Lyles that makes him a great sprinter.
Two-time world 200m champion Noah Lyles has been vocal about plans to attack Usain Bolt’s world records and some people believe that the American is only being delusional.
However, Bolt, the world record holder, respects Lyles for believing in himself and having such great confidence. Bolt’s 100m and 200m world records stand at 9.58 and 19.19 respectively and he believes his 100m world record will take more time before it is broken.
The Jamaican sprint legend noted that Lyles has some type of confidence that places him in a better position to win many races. He observed that Lyles is not that good at running the 100m and his confidence is what gives him the energy to win.

“Not now, I haven’t seen the talent yet to get there. One thing I respect about him is his confidence and that’s what he has over most of these athletes going in.
“Last year, when he won the World Championships, he wasn’t supposed to win the 100m but the confidence that he has, that he’s going to win, the other guys are going to go in there fearing him. He’s not worried but the other guys are worried, you know what I mean.
“He is not supposed to win the 100m because he’s not that good. I think he will get better over the years so the fact that he is winning now is crazy,” Bolt said in an interview.
Meanwhile, Lyles has been vocal about attacking the Jamaican’s world records and he is very confident about achieving that milestone. He has specifically spoken about attacking the 200m world record.
“I know that I’m going to break it. World records are meant to be broken. It's just another goal to check off the list and it's always fun to go after the top.

Explainer: Why the Nyayo National Stadium had to be reopened to host Kenyan Olympic trials
Athletics Kenya Nairobi Chair Barnaba Korir has explained why the Ulinzi Sports Complex could not be used to host the Kenyan Olympic trials as earlier stated.
"We're too easily in this habit of doing what we used to do and going to the places where it's comfortable. It's time to get uncomfortable. It's time to really start figuring out what is the best solution for the future and not what has worked in the past.
"I still got Olympic gold medals to get. I still got records to break. Why shoot for the clouds when you can aim for the stars?” he said.
