Jamaican track legend Usain Bolt was with French athletes and fans to unveil the Olympic Torch for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Double Sprint World Record (WR) holder Usain Bolt was honoured with the task of unveiling the Olympic torch to mark one year before the start of Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The Olympic legend was in Paris to celebrate with French athletes and fans as they took pictures to mark the memorable occasion.
Bolt is considered the greatest sprinter in Olympic and athletics history, being an eight-time Olympic gold medallist, and is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100m and 200m titles at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012, and 2016). He also won two 4x100m relay gold medals before his retirement in 2017.
Inspiration behind the Olympic Torch design
According to French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, the inspiration behind designing the torch was to make it simple and fluid.
