The USATF has unveiled the prize monies for finalists at the Olympic trials - a first of its kind gesture from any country.
Sha'Carri Richardson and other top US stars will be heading to their Olympic trials from June 21st - 30th with one goal in mind - make the team to Paris.
The US athletics pool is unarguably the most competitive team to make in the world, having a plethora of stars and talents at their disposal from college to elite level.
This year, the USATF has made available prize monies for all finalists in the various events, which Richardson and all athletes competing will be vying for aside from the aim to finish in the top 3 and be in the team to the Paris Olympic Games.

Here are the US sprinters confirmed to miss the trials and consequently Paris Olympics.
Here's the breakdown of the prizes available from the first to eighth positions.
- 1st place - $11,000
- 2nd place - $8,800
- 3rd place - $6,600
- 4th place - $4,400
- 5th place - $3,400
- 6th place - $2,200
- 7th place - $1,100
- 8th place - $1,100
Richardson will be gunning to retain her US title to seal her spot at competing in her first Olympics. Other stars to watch out for are Noah Lyles, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Christian Coleman, Gabby Thomas, Athing Mu, etc.
