Sha'Carri Richardson revealed how she overcame her struggles, going back to her faith and that she's better this season.

Sha'carri Richardson is having a great year so far, which has seen her clock the top two fastest times in the world this season.

Her recent victory came at the Doha Diamond League, running a blistering world lead and Meeting Record (MR) of 10.72s to defeat a stacked field that included world silver medallist Shericka Jackson and Great Britain's record holder Dina Asher-Smith.

Shortly after her win in Doha, a trending video surfaced online revealing how she returned to her faith and overcame her struggles.

"I had to return back to my faith, and I feel so much better. That's why when you all say I'm back, I'm not back, I'm better."

Richardson is the most talked about female sprinter in the world, having trended for both positive and negative reasons in the past. She has failed to make the US team to any major athletics championship, one which has a huge percentage of changing this year after her rediscovered form this season.

Earlier in the year, Ricardson sped her way to the history books with a jaw-dropping wind-aided 10.57s at the Miramar Invitational - the third-fastest time in world history.

Though she lost in the 200m at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix, the speedster proved her doubters wrong at the first Damond League meeting of the year in the Qatari capital, and in a post-race interview, Richardson revealed the reason for her recent success and performance was that she had found her peace back on the track.

"Honestly, I feel blessed for my performance, I'm happy that I am here, healthy, and more importantly happy. I have found my peace back on track, and I'm not letting anything or anybody take that anymore," she said.

Richardson is now a top favourite to challenge for the world 100m title in Budapest.
