The Botswana Golden Grand Prix is scheduled for Saturday, and has attracted some of the world’s greatest athletes who will go head-to-head in search of wins.

ATHLETICS List of stellar cast Omanyala will be up against at Botswana Golden Grand Prix
Omanyala will be lining up as the fastest in the field with a personal best time of 9.77, the African record time.
The men’s 100m race for instance, will see Africa 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala take on a tough field that has attracted five men with sub-10-seconds personal best times.
The field includes USA’s world silver medallist Marvin Bracy, junior champion Letsile Tebogo competing on home soil and Samuel Imeta who has also proven to be in an impressive form.

The duo faces an acid test as they line up against a strong field that has attracted Olympians and world medalists.
Another thrilling race will see world 800m bronze medallist Mary Moraa, who also claimed Commonwealth and Diamond League crowns in 2022, racing against Jamaica’s Olympic and world finalist Candice McLeod.
USA’s Kyra Jefferson, and Botswana’s Naledi Lopang and Thompang Basele will also be in the mix.

McLeod is the fastest woman in Saturday's field with a PB of 49.51.
Global medallists are also set to clash in the men’s 800m as Olympic silver medallist Ferguson Rotich races his compatriot Abel Kipsang, who claimed world indoor 1,500m bronze last year. USA’s 2016 Olympic bronze medallist Clayton Murphy will also be competing for top honours in the race.
