One of the biggest changes this season is that fans will not have to wait as long for the outdoor season to get underway. The first leg of the Diamond League series will kick off on April 20 in Xiamen, earlier than in any season since the series began in 2010.
Xiamen will be the first of two meetings in China, and the start of a rapid world tour in the opening weeks of the season. In May, the series will touch down on four different continents, with meetings in Qatar, Morocco, the USA, and Norway.
The second meeting of the season is scheduled to take place in Suzhou, which will host the Wanda Diamond League for the very first time on April 27.
The Chinese city is one of two new locations in this season's calendar, with the Meeting International Mohammed VI also moving from Rabat to Marrakech for one year due to stadium renovations in the Moroccan capital.
