Isaac Omurwa is wasting no time as he seeks to make history like his elder brother Ferdinand Omanyala.

Isaac Omurwa, Ferdinand Omanyala’s younger brother is keenly following in the footsteps of his elder brother as he seeks to make history.

Omurwa fired warning shots at his opponents, making it clear that he has no time to waste since he is also chasing history like his elder brother, Africa’s fastest man.

Omanyala, the Commonwealth Games 100m champion, also became the first Kenyan to win the 100m at the Diamond League Meeting, winning the race at last year’s Diamond League Meeting in Monaco.

The 19-year-old shared a photo of himself training on his X (Twitter) handle and captioned it: “Trying to put my name in the books. Not here to compete but to make history.”

Omurwa has shown great progress since starting his career last year where he managed to represent the country in two major events.

He started off with a win in the 100m at the East Africa Under-20 Championships before heading to the Africa Under-20 Championships where he faltered but came back home with tons of experience.

This season, the youngster wanted to make the cut to the African Games but failed to impress during the national trials, finishing fourth in the race but still making a lot of progress.

He is not resting on his laurels as he has now shifted focus to the World Athletics Relays, hoping to team up with his brother to put Kenya on the world map.

Omurwa will also be hoping to be among the chosen few to compete at the Olympic Games, something that will be a life changing event since he is still young and learning the ropes.
