Hailing from Kericho town, her early days were spent honing her skills at the Kaptere Athletics camp in Kericho county. It was here that the seeds of her athletic prowess were sown.

In a candid revelation about her motivation, Bii shared, “My parents were sprinters, and that explains my obsession with running and jumping. My father wanted someone to inherit his talent on the track, and now he is happy I am here.”

While in school, Bii received encouragement from her teachers to diversify her talents, advice that she took to heart.

“My teachers urged me to participate in both track and field events. I agree with them; being versatile is crucial. It’s important for track athletes to explore all distances early in life to increase their chances of medaling in major championships, which are highly competitive,” Bii explained as per Capital Sports.

Bii's athletic career is marked by several notable milestones.

In 2022, she made history as the first Kenyan to qualify for the long jump at the Under 20 Championship in Cali, Colombia.

Her commitment to excellence also led her to train in Miramas, France, an experience that has significantly contributed to her development as a top-tier athlete.

The record-breaking performance at the Arkansas Invitational is not just a personal triumph for Bii but also a moment of national pride.

It signifies the emergence of a new generation of Kenyan athletes who are ready to dominate not just in distance running but also in field events.
