In the merriment of the festive period, former Nigerian sprint queen Blessing Okagbare announced her perfect Christmas gift with the birth of her first child.
The World and Olympic medallist shared the good news on her social media platforms using the caption:

Okagbare had a glorious career as a track athlete highlighted by being a 2008 Olympic long jump silver medallist, as well as 2013 world championships long jump silver and 200m bronze medallist.
In addition, she holds the Commonwealth Games 100m record of 10.85s, and her personal best of 10.79s was the African Record until it was eclipsed by Murielle Ahouré in 2016.

A 43-year-old American man has plead guilty to supplying banned drugs to Olympic athletes including Nigeria's Blessing Okagbare.
Blessing Okagbare's marriage and divorce
Okagbare married former Nigerian footballer Igho Otegheri in Sapele, Delta State on November 2014, in a wedding ceremony attended by family, friends, and loved ones.
Unfortunately, the marriage lasted for six years after a stint of marital crisis. Reports claim the track star was the one who filed for divorce, citing laziness, infidelity, and irreconcilable differences.

Some other also claim they broke up because both couldn't come to a resolution on when to start having children.
