Keisha Cane took to Instagram to complain over the unfair treatment she allegedly received from the stadium security during the Olympics.

Noah Lyles' mother, Keisha Cane, has come under fire after making allegations against the stadium security at the Paris Olympics.

Following her son’s participation in the men’s 200m final, where he finished third, Cane claimed that stadium security refused to call medical assistance when her son collapsed on the track.

The incident, which she described as one of the "scariest moments" of her life, has sparked a heated debate online.

Cane took to Instagram to share her distress, writing:

“This was one of the scariest moments of my life! Watching my son hold his chest gasping for air while the stadium security refused to call a Dr. as I begged them to send him help.”

She further expressed her frustration, saying, “They also refused to do anything to help. They totally ignored me! No parent should ever have to experience this feeling of helplessness!”

However, Cane’s account of the events has been challenged by an eyewitness who claimed to have witnessed the incident.

The fan, identified as @mizzADDYtude on X (formerly known as Twitter), disputed Cane's version of events.

She stated, “I was sitting right there and watched the whole thing. Security didn’t refuse to call medical. They refused to let her on the field. Yelling in their faces and trying to jump the fence. Security did their job.”

The fan's post has since garnered mixed reactions, with some supporters backing her account, while others sympathized with Cane's distress.

Amidst the controversy, Cane also extended her gratitude to the NBC Sports team and US track and field officials, who she said were instrumental in providing support during the tense situation.

“Thank you for seeing me & my son as human beings and not just another story. Words cannot express my gratitude for your empathy, professionalism, and kindness,” she said, adding that she was thankful her son is now recovering.

Recall that despite Noah Lyles’ setback in the 200m event, the 27-year-old American sprinter won gold in the 100m event ahead of Jamaica’s Krishane Thompson.

Following his Olympic triumph, Lyles also opened up about the criticism he has received despite his remarkable success on the track.

“If you throw yourself out there, there's always going to be critics. I mean, you can look at anybody in history," the American Record holder in the men's 200m event told Reuters.

“You can look at LeBron James, one of the greatest basketball players, you can look at Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson - anybody who you want to say is great, there's always going to be love, and there's always going to be hate because people are going to form opinions, because you're now so high up there that they can't see you as everyday people of everyday society."

Lyles was also listed among the Top 10 best American athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
