The 2023 Basketball Hall of Fame Class includes legends Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade, Pau Gasol.
Leading the 12-member class that will be inducted into the 2023 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame are NBA legends Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, and Pau Gasol.
Possibly the two greatest players in the annals of their respective franchises are Wade and Nowitzki.
Nowitzki is the first and so far only MVP award winner in Mavericks history back in the (2006-07) season.
He played his whole 21-year career in Dallas, defeating Wade and the Heat to win the NBA title in 2010–11.
With 31,560 points in his career, Nowitzki is sixth all-time in the NBA. His 12 All-NBA team appearances are tied for the seventh-most all-time.
In the 2006 NBA Finals, Wade led the Heat to their first championship in team history by defeating Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks.
In 2012 and 2013, he collaborated with LeBron James and Chris Bosh to win two additional championships.
Wade spent some time in his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls, but he is most closely associated with the Miami Heat.
He holds the record for the most games played (948), points (21,556), assists (5,310), and steals in club history (1,492).
Throughout his first six seasons, Gasol served as the face of the Memphis Grizzlies and was on the verge of a brilliant career.
Midway through the 2007–08 season, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, which raised his reputation.
Gasol was the second-best player, playing alongside Kobe Bryant, on a Lakers squad that made the NBA Finals three times in a row and won back-to-back championships in 2008 and 2009.
Together with Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan (Class of 2020), Gregg Popovich and Tony Parker are the newest core members of the San Antonio Spurs dynasty to be inducted into the Hall of Fame (Class of 2022).
With 1,363 career victories, Popovich is the winningest coach in NBA history. His five titles are tied for the third-most among all head coaches, behind only Pat Riley and John Kundla.
Parker played for the Spurs for his first 17 seasons, earning four championships in that time. Six times he was selected for the All-Star squad, and with 6,829 career assists, he holds the franchise record.
