Coach Odaudu trims his list as 12 players selected for FIBA World Cup qualifiers.

Coach Ogoh Odaudu has released a 12 man list for the upcoming FIBA Men's Basketball World Cup qualifiers.

Oduadu trimmed the official team list from 20 to 12 days before the qualification games resume.

The new 12 man list was released on the official Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) social media platforms on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

12 D'Tigers selected

D'Tigers face a difficult challenge to qualify for the 2023 FIBA World Cup with just three qualification games left to play.

Chimezie Chukwudum Metu was key to the victory for the Sacramento Kings.

The team will also have to get results without NBA stars such as Jordan Nwora of the Indiana Pacers, Josh Okogie of the Phoenix Suns and Chimezie Metu of the Sacramento Kings.

11 of the players selected by Odaudu play in the Nigerian basketball league asides Olatunji Graham based in the United States of America (USA).

Michael Daramola, Ibe Agu and Israel Otobo play for Nigeria Customs.

Okiki Michael, Odufuwa Kanyinsola, Wisdom Anyoha and Abdulwahab Yakubu play for the Gombe Bulls.

Other members of the team includes Victor Koko of Rivers Hoopers, Victor Ezeh of the Kwara Falcons and Chinedu Chimbou of Kano Pillars.

D'Tigers fifth in group E begin the final round of qualification games against Ivory Coast then take on Guinea and Angola.
