Arike Ogunbowale shines at All-Star team
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to immigrant parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale, Arike is of Nigerian descent.
The 26-year-old was a starter for Team Wilson and featured for 22 minutes.
Wearing her orange Nike G.T. Cut 2 customs, Ogunbowale put up 18 points, five assists, and six rebounds in an all-round performance.
Ogunbowale was named the 2021 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game MVP when she led the WNBA All-Stars' to victory over the USA Basketball Women's National Team.
Ogunbowale has been chosen for three All-Star games in his career, but this is his first selection as a starter.
On May 30, Ogunbowale was chosen as the Western Conference Player of the Week, and on May 31, she was chosen as the Kia Western Conference Player of the Month.
Nneka Ogwumike shines at All-Star team
Ogwumike, a five-time All-WNBA Team selection, was a starter for Team Stewart at the 2023 WNBA All-Star Game
She starred for 20 minutes wearing her Adidas Exhibit Selection shoes.
Ogwumike recorded six points, five assists, and 11 rebounds in an impressive outing.
It was another accolade for Ogwumike, who recently won the Western Conference Player of the Week award for games played from May 29 to June 4.
The 2016 WNBA MVP, 2016 WNBA Champion, seven-time All-Star, four-time All-WNBA Team, five-time All-Defensive Team member, and three-time Kim Perrot Sportsmanship Award winner are just a few of Ogwumike's career accomplishments.
