Barcelona go brown, arrive in Dortmund for crucial Champions League battle
Ahead of their Champions League clash, Barcelona go brown as they arrive to face Borussia Dortmund.
The defending champion Los Blancos took the lead after five minutes as Vinicius Jr. dispossessed Marc Casado of the ball in his own half and sent Kylian Mbappe off on a lightning-fast counterattack.
Barca wonderkid Lamine Yamal equalized with a well-executed slalom run of his own, putting his shot past Thibaut Courtois.
Robert Lewandowski then scored from the penalty spot about fifteen minutes later to put Barcelona in front.
On 39 minutes, Raphinha's head brilliantly connected with a cross from Jules Kounde to give Barca a two-goal lead. The Brazilian then assisted Alejandro Balde to make it 4-1 at halftime.
Barcelona held on for a record 15th title in the league after Raphinha scored his second goal to make it 5-1 and Rodrygo scored the free kick that was given after Wojciech Szczesny was sent a straight red.
Reactions to Ancelotti
After the game, Real Madrid fans took to social media to demand the sack of their manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Ancelotti has led the Club to a five-point lead over Barcelona in La Liga and only trail rivals Atletico Madrid by one point.
However, he suffered a 4-0 loss at home to Barcelona in the league and now a 5-2 loss in the Super Cup.
Madrid fans want him out but Barcelona fans were quick to demand that he stays on as Hansi Flick gets the better of their match-up.
