The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to trade Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics.

The Boston Celtics have agreed a deal with the Portland Trai Blazers for All-Star guard Jrue Holiday.

The Celtics are sending Robert Williams III, Malcolm Brogdon, a 2024 first-round pick via Golden State, and a 2029 first-round pick to the Blazers, according to NBA expert Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Blazers were always likely to move Holiday, as they stick to their plan of focusing on youth and stacking up assets for the future.

Damian Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in a blockbuster deal on Wednesday to team up with Giannis Antentokounmpo but the Celtics have now responded with a move of their own.

Holiday is considered one of the league's best two-way guards, and his arrival with the Bucks played a huge part in the franchise's 2021 NBA championship.
